I have been slacking a little on the blogging.... I started my "column" for one of my Fall classes, but have since withdrawn for the semester for baby-related reasons. I'm going to try to keep up on it, but maybe not as regularly since I'm not being graded. I'm just over 34 weeks along, trying to hang in there for at least three more weeks. My cesarean is still booked for the 38 week mark, Sept 24, but we've had a couple of episodes of pre-term labor (contractions) that point to the possibility of an earlier delivery. Right now every day/week counts, so I'm home taking it easy, trying to keep her comfortable. If this says anything about her temperament, we may have a problem. Not only is she impatient, but I'm pretty sure she is causing internal bruising with her karate moves.
We definitely thought we had more time for preparations, so we're trying to get everything ready. I've been very little help, since I'm supposed to stay off my feet. After our first stay at the hospital we decided it may be time to at least pack hospital bags and an overnight bag for Harley. Since then, Drew has been busting his rear around here. He got Harley completely moved into his new room, painted Sister's room, and moved all the office things. He even got down all my Fall decorations, which I'm pretty excited about. I figure if I have to lay around with nothing to do I might as well be surrounded by pretty things. I'll try to hold off until Labor Day to get them out....maybe.
